Abstract: This paper provides empirical evidence on which M&A deals spur innovation, and which stifle it. To do so, we consider not only the product market position of the acquiring firm, but also the position of both target and acquirer in the technology space. Focusing on the antidiabetic drugs market, our dataset tracks the lifecycle and patenting of all individual antidiabetic projects in development between 1997 and 2017. We show that most terminations of acquired projects occur while the projects are still far from product market entry. Nevertheless, a number of these early-stage acquisitions have a positive impact on innovation. These cases arise when incumbents acquire projects close to their own projects in product markets, but only if these projects are also close in technology markets. Those deals are associated with increased subsequent patenting, which is consistent with the exploitation of technological synergies. Our results point to the crucial role of combining both product market and technology market positions in assessing the innovation effects of pharmaceutical M&As.

Abstract: Tourism mega-projects have become crucial tools for territorial development and the construction of place identity. However, research connecting stakeholder engagement, territorial marketing, and the governance of such large-scale projects remains fragmented across disciplines. This study aims to explore this intersection by conducting a, bibliometric analysis of 474 peer-reviewed documents indexed in Scopus between 2000 and 2025. Using, Bibliometrix (R) and VOSviewer, we performed performance analysis, co-citation mapping, and keyword co- occurrence analysis. Results show steady growth in publications, especially after 2011, with journals such as Sustainability and the Journal of Place Management and Development emerging as key publication outlets. The primary research themes encompass sustainability, stakeholder engagement, urban governance, and territorial branding. Newer topics, such as participatory place branding and identity co-creation, are beginning to gain attention but remain underdeveloped. The study also highlights a geographical imbalance: most publications come from Western countries, while regions where these projects are often implemented, especially in the Global South, are underrepresented. This work helps clarify the current state of research and suggests future directions for more inclusive and interdisciplinary studies.

Abstract: The emergence of the knowledge economy has led many organizations to recognize the importance of knowledge as a crucial resource, and has created a complex management challenge "knowledge management (KM)". Due to cultural, operational, geographic dispersions and other complexities, this challenge is more acute for larger organizations. Performance is a contextual concept associated with the phenomenon studied. In recent years, several theories have been put forward for the practice of KM. However, given the abstract nature of the field, there is little consensus on the components and modes of knowledge management. Much of the current research focuses on one or a few organizational elements of knowledge management. The critical and fundamental relationships between all elements are often overlooked. The need for theories, principles and empirical methods for knowledge management is widely recognized in the existing management literature. Thus, the main motivation of this research is to develop a broad model in the form of a holistic framework for corporate knowledge management and to highlight the tangible impacts of knowledge management on Moroccan companies subject of the The case study carried out in 2019/2020 and presents instruments for measuring the return on investment of Knowledge management projects and programs, contributed to a good understanding of the benefits of KM in the company. The research study is carried out with an interpretative paradigm and the non-demonstrative induction approach to explore and describe various factors influencing the practice of knowledge management in organizations and a case study research strategy. In-depth case studies were conducted in nine large organizations, the empirical case study material was collected and analyzed in detail using a grounded theory approach. Keywords : Knowledge management ; culture of sharing ; intellectual capital ; competitiveness ; communities of practice.

Abstract: Findings of World Bank study (WB, SRAS Project 2021) indicates that lack of sufficient quantity and quality of seeds, seedlings, and planting materials in domestic market is one of the critical issues affecting farmers income and food security. Most donor projects provide direct extension support to farmers on multiplying and adopting seeds and seedlings. The local capacity to generate new varieties and planting materials remains low and over 50 percent of all agricultural inputs are imported. The capacity to test new varieties of crops for their adaptation to soils and climate in the country is also lacking, and in general the regular testing of new varieties, whether domestically developed or imported, is not conducted. Between 2016-2019, the share of public agriculture expenditure on inputs distribution to the farmers (0.04 percent or 0.81 million Tajik Somoni) and development of seeds and seedlings (0.8 percent or 16.64 million Tajik Somoni) were low (Khakimov et al. 2024).

Abstract: This paper aims to underline the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption on creativity in the early stage of New Product Development (NPD). Specifically, it examines how AI adoption impacts creativity in the early stage of NPD on individuals and teams within corporate environments across various sectors. Drawing on a semi-structured interview methodology, this paper will collect data at two levels of analysis: to understand how AI affects personal creativity and the team level and to investigate its influence on team dynamics and collaborative creativity. The implications of these findings will advance our understanding of AI's role in enhancing or reducing creativity in the NPD early stage. This research will guide future research and practical insights into AI adoption on creativity in the early stage of NPD.

Abstract: Foreign donors routinely use nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to deliver aid abroad. However, recent decades have witnessed a global cascade of restrictive anti-NGO legislation. How have foreign aid donors responded and adapted to this legal crackdown on NGOs? Using original data from all countries that received aid from 1981–2012, we assess the impact of anti-NGO laws on total flows of official foreign aid, the nature of projects funded, and the channels used for distributing this aid. Overall, we find that donors scale back their operations in repressive countries. However, rather than completely withdraw, we also find that donors redirect funds within restrictive countries by decreasing funds for politically sensitive issues in favor of regime-compatible causes. Donors also channel more aid through domestic rather than foreign NGOs; however, this change is by no means a perfect substitute. We conclude by discussing the implications of our findings for official aid donors, INGOs, and local groups working on contentious causes such as elections, human rights, media, corruption, and advocacy.
