Abstract: | This study investigates the latent threats posed by certain academic practices to national cultural security amid the revitalization of China’s traditional culture. Grounded in cultural security theory, ideological critique, and materialist dialectics, and drawing analytical inspiration from the systemic and nonlinear thinking of the I Ching, the research critically examines how specific scholarly methodologies and argumentation patterns may undermine cultural sovereignty. Employing conceptual analysis, textual deconstruction, and dialectical reasoning, the study scrutinizes representative cases of influential scholars whose work reflects methodological flaws such as replacing conclusions with assumptions, factual misinterpretation, subjective speculation, and metaphysical presuppositions. These practices, while couched in academic legitimacy, may inadvertently erode the cultural discourse system and weaken institutional safeguards. The findings highlight the necessity for rigorous academic governance and the institutional regulation of cultural research to uphold cultural identity, ideological integrity, and national strategic interests. By unveiling the concealed pathways through which “academic camouflage” interferes with cultural security, this research offers a novel framework for defining academic boundaries and contributes to policy discourse on ideological resilience. Moreover, it aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 16—promoting peaceful, just, and inclusive institutions—underscoring the dual imperative of safeguarding cultural continuity and institutional accountability in an era of complex sociocultural transformation. |

Abstract: | Chilean gastronomy, shaped by its geographical and cultural diversity, combines products from the Pacific Ocean with ingredients from central valleys, alongside unique culinary traditions, establishing Chile as an emerging gastronomic tourism destination. This study examines tourists' perceptions of Santiago's culinary offerings through NLP analysis of 244 Google Maps reviews (2019-2025). Results reveal strong preference for traditional dishes (empanadas, pastel de choclo) and local beverages (wine, pisco), with high overall satisfaction (82% 4-5 star ratings). Key attributes identified include flavor, service, and ambiance, while paradoxically highlighting underrepresented desserts/salads despite abundant local produce. The study demonstrates the value of digital data analysis for understanding tourist perceptions. |

Abstract: | TThe Mahakumbh Mela, the world’s largest spiritual gathering, is held every twelve years at four sacred locations in India: Prayagraj (Allahabad), Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. Rooted in ancient Vedic traditions, this event is not only a religious and cultural phenomenon but also a reflection of India’s deep scientific and astronomical wisdom. This research paper explores the historical, spiritual, and socio-economic significance of Mahakumbh, along with the scientific and astronomical aspects that determine its timing. It also highlights the environmental and management challenges associated with this massive congregation and suggests sustainable solutions for future celebrations. Abstract: | To test the localized tastes hypothesis, we use historical dialect similarity as an instrument to predict the persistent component of regional taste differences. Analyzing wholesale markets for fruits and vegetables in Japan, we find that predicted taste differences have a strong, statistically significant effect, explaining approximately 9% of the mean volatility in law-of-one-price deviations. Our findings are robust across extensive validity checks, which scrutinize and relax our exclusion restriction, distinguishing between various sources of endogeneity, and confirm our baseline results based on alternative instruments, which exploit exogenous differences in agro-climatic endowments. |

Abstract: | This study investigates the presence and variation of home bias across different hierarchical levels in German men's football. Based on an extensive dataset comprising 357, 530 matches from the 2023/2024 season-collected via a Python script-the analysis includes match outcomes, attendance figures, club locations, and prior season standings across 165 divisions in 28 football associations. These leagues span 13 hierarchical levels, from professional to amateur football. The results show that home bias is significantly more pronounced in lower divisions. This effect manifests itself through a higher frequency of home wins, fewer draws, and greater sensitivity to travel distance in amateur divisions. In contrast, more professional leagues may benefit from standardised conditions, which mitigate home bias. Overall, the findings highlight the strong influence of professionalisation on competitive balance. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of how contextual factors shape match outcomes and demonstrates the need for differentiated analysis across league levels when examining behavioural biases in sports. |
