Abstract: Technological innovation is often approached in research work as a relevant support for companies to adapt to changes in their environment. In this study, we focused on checking whether the adoption of a technological innovation within companies affects their level of multidimensional involvement in CSR. Analysis of data collected from a questionnaire administered to forty-six companies in Morocco allowed us to identify significant relationships between technological innovation and socially responsible behavior of the companies in our sample.

Abstract: The Covid- 19 health crisis that hit the world in 2020 revealed the fragility of the national health system and particularly highlighted the shortage of medical and healthcare care staff. The crisis has also emphasized an emerging reality, which is the migration of health professionals, particularly to Europe, fueled by a pull policy intended to recruit more doctors and other health professionals to meet the needs of host countries in this area. The purpose of this article is to examine the phenomenon of the brain drain of health professionals in the public sector in Morocco by adopting hypothetical-deductive approach and conducting a survey on health professionals (doctors, nurses and paramedical staff (other than nurses) working in one of the main hospital structures in Morocco, notably the 20 August 1953 Hospital that belongs to the University Hospital Center of Casablanca, and the Regional Health Center Hospital El Ghassani of Fez, in order to appreciate the potential of migration and the push and pull factors that could encourage them to leave the country. The survey was conducted based on non-probability sampling technique (non-random) and has targeted 355 persons that responded to the questionnaire through face-to-face interviews or questionnaires administered through head of services. This research showed that 47.3% of the health professionals expressed their intention to migrate against 52.68% who were less willing to migrate.

Abstract: In a context of shortage of certain profiles or qualifications, companies are faced with the challenge of integrating and retaining new recruits, and must imagine and implement new solutions in terms of organizational socialization. Hotel establishments - in Morocco - do not escape this economic imperative which questions the place of team management, management of organizations and leadership of superiors. This observation is more striking in the luxury hotel industry in Marrakech, which faces a fairly demanding clientele in relation to the quality of service and the quality of the profiles. Executive profiles are increasingly in demand, although they are rare at the base, in addition to the Covid'19 crisis has pushed many of them to leave the hotel sector. To do this, hotel establishments are required to implement organizational socialization strategies to better retain and keep them. The objective of this article is to study the process of organizational socialization of new recruits. The field survey covered a sample of 17 new recruits from different hotels in the city of Marrakech to trace their integration journey, and explain in sufficient detail how organizational socialization practices contribute to successful integration. The method used for data collection is the semi-structured interview, the interviews have been transcribed in full. The data was analyzed through thematic content analysis assisted by the NVivo software. This survey has the particularity of identifying organizational socialization strategies in hotel establishments, the course of the organizational socialization process, and the factors that influence it.

Abstract: Since gas, as one of the most important carriers of energy, plays a significant role in the society's economy, especially in setting up industries, the implementation of gas supply projects in the current situation is the pulse of the society's economy, but most of the mentioned projects currently have the problem of prolonging the duration. Implementation and multiple completion costs are faced. During the pathologies conducted in the provincial gas companies, one of the most important factors of project failure is the weakness of the consultant. Therefore, choosing an efficient consultant can significantly increase the success rate of the project. Until today, there are no integrated technical evaluation tables in the field of design to identify effective indicators for the selection of consultants in provincial gas companies. In this research, we intend to conduct research on the forms prepared in the provincial gas company, as well as valid circulars, publications, and regulations regarding the preparation of appropriate and integrated criteria. In this research, a method for choosing the right consultant has been presented using decision-making techniques. First, according to the regulation of paragraph (e) of article 29 of the law on tenders and quality evaluation forms in the field of design used in provincial gas companies in order to select a consultant, the indicators were identified and to ensure the effectiveness of the identification indicators. done in the consultant selection process and all indicators affecting the selection of consultants have been identified and confirmed using the structural equation method (factorial confirmation method and T-test) and in the next step by collecting experts' opinions and analyzing the indicators by Group AHP technique and according to the group opinions of several 2 experts, the relative weight of each index has been determined and finally, the effective indices in the technical evaluation process in the field of design in order to select the correct consultant in the provincial gas companies have been determined.

Abstract: We assess income inequality across French and British colonial empires between 1920 and 1960, exploiting for the first time income tax tabulations. As measured by top income shares, inequality was high in colonies. Europeans comprised the bulk of top income earners, and only a minority of autochthons could compete income-wise. Top income shares were no higher in settlement colonies, those territories were wealthier and the average European settler was less rich than the average expatriate. Inequality among autochthons was moderate, and inequality among Europeans was similar to that of the metropoles. The post-WWII fall in income inequality can be explained by the one among Europeans, mirroring that of the metropoles, and does not imply that the European/autochthon income gap was very much reduced. After independence, the mass recruitment of state employees induced a large increase in inequality among autochthons. Dualistic structures lost their racial dimension and changed shape, yet persisted.

Abstract: Sukuk (Islamic bonds) emerged as a revolutionary financial instrument over the last years and is considered as the flagship capital market instrument of the Islamic finance industry. However, the understanding of it is still limited compared to conventional bonds. This study aims to investigate whether the announcements of Sukuk issuance that carry any new information can create impact on the market's reactions using 42 Sukuk announcements over the period of 2010 to 2019 in four Gulf financial markets. It is revealed the absenteeism of significant abnormal returns across asymmetric and symmetric event windows for periods before and after the announcement date, concluding no wealth effect. Within the equity marketplace, these results will be of practical relevance to corporations, practitioners and decision-makers.

Abstract: Growth in trade of fruit and vegetables (F&V) in the Mediterranean region, especially in Morocco, slowed down during the COVID-19 crisis. While reductions in trade of F&V are likely to be associated with shocks caused by the pandemic, the long-lasting effects of a well-established system of policy interventions in the sector should not be neglected. In other words, the effects of the COVID pandemic have only altered the volumes of F&V trade from Mediterranean countries. However, the continued occurrence of excess (low priced) imports of F&V from the Mediterranean region reinforces policy recommendations that point at the need to reform trade policy. The EU import regime should be simplified, by relaxing the controls on prices of imported F&V, and by negotiating off-season import quotas. The former would shrink running costs while the latter would lower competition among EU producers and Mediterranean traders.

Abstract: [TR] Bu notta, son donemde Türkiye’nin buyume kompozisyonunda surdurulebilir bilesenlerin payi ile makine-techizat yatirimlarinin gelisimi incelenmistir. [EN] This note analyzes the share of sustainable components in Türkiye's growth composition and the course of machinery-equipment investments in the recent period. Türkiye exhibited a strong growth performance in the post-pandemic period and provided employment gains in line with this. In addition to higher growth rates compared to other countries, it is noteworthy that the share of sustainable components in the growth composition has also increased. The total shares of machinery-equipment investments that increase the potential output and net exports that support the current account balance in GDP are above the long-term averages. In recent years, with the effect of both the cumulative real exchange rate developments and the advantage of Türkiye's geographic position, the tendency of companies to export has increased, and the number of exported products and partner countries has expanded. Thus, the production and investment expectations of exporting companies remained strong and supported the outlook in the growth composition. Moreover, the need for capacity increase in connection with the investment gap in the past has also encouraged new machinery-equipment investments.

Abstract: [TR] Hizmet ihracati ulkemiz cari islemler hesabinin onemli bir belirleyicisidir. Net hizmet ihracatinin cari dengeye yaptigi olumlu katki yillar itibariyla artis gostermis ve 2013-2021 yillari arasinda yillik ortalama 27, 3 milyar ABD dolari duzeyine ulasmistir. [EN] Service exports is an important determinant of Türkiye’s current account balance. The positive contribution of net services exports to the current account balance has increased over the years and reached an annual average of 27.3 billion USD between 2013 and 2021. In this study, structure of Türkiye's service exports is analyzed using a variety of indicators by sectors, relative competitive fields and trade markets. When analyzed on a country basis, it is seen that Türkiye's service exportsexhibit a balanced structure, which limits the negative impact of geopolitical developments. On a sectoral basis, it is observed that service exports are concentrated in travel and transportation sectors. When Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) index is taken as an indicator, these two sectors also stand out as sectors with high relative advantage.
